The construction of vertical or inclined shafts, spirals etc. also requires extensive geodetic know-how. For these complex fields of activity, GEODATA has the required equipment, experienced staff and proven software solutions.
For conventional tunneling (often referred to as NATM), we developed the mobile motor laser system TALOS. The system can be operated by tunnel workers and setup at arbitrary positions in the tunnel (e.g. on a tripod). TALOS ensures tunneling with only minimal deviations to the designed tunnel profile.
Our EUPALINOS software allows the evaluation and seamless documentation of all geodetic heading measurements and the provision of results in the form of setting-out lists and sketches for alignment lasers or as control data for our TALOS motor laser. In this way, conventional tunnel drives can achieve accuracies of a few mm to 1 cm.
When TBMs or roadheaders are used, our machine guidance systems TAUROS can be applied. The system continuously determines the spatial position and orientation of the machine and its deviation from the designed tunnel axis. All needed navigation data is immediately presented to the machine operator. The guidance systems are installed on the machine once and then permanently maintained in the course of the project.
Construction SurveysGEODATA provides all surveying services needed for tunnel construction. We mark and signalise individual points and axes required for the construction of planned underground structures such as inner shells, tunnel floors, carriageways, tracks, drains and niches, boreholes for blasting and anchoring, pipe umbrellas etc.
Setting out can be performed by our trained staff either conventionally or by means of automatic setting out systems (motor laser) in special cases. After construction, we check and document the project (e.g. by profile measurements using total stations and laser scanners), thereby assuring the quality of the entire construction project.
