Damos - Concept
Damos - LayersSensor Layer
This layer comprises, for example, cabled sensors like VW strain gauges, potentiometric displacement transducers, load cells or any 4-20mA transducers.
Geodata IPIs or tilt sensors, as well as hydraulic levels or laser alignment sensors with digital outputs can directly be connected to the interface layer.
The interface layer contains components to convert sensor signals to a predefined common format.
These interfaces, capable to capture 1 to 64 sensors, depending on type and customer requirements, are connected to each other within a RS485 bus system. DAMOS is able to address 250 sensor interfaces.
This layer connects the busbased interfaces with a central logging PC. This connection could be a direct, cable based link, a WAN connection via EDGE/GPRS or UMTS, a fibre optic cable or a dedicated radio communication.
The Windows based software comprises a SQL database and a handy, easy understandable user interface. The DAMOS software provides sensor and interface management, online visualisation of reduced and raw data, generation of reports, alarm handling via SMS, email or TCP-IP device servers.
