Based on the motorlaser systems, GEODATA developed systems for automatic guidance of tunnel boring machines (TBM) and roadheaders. In this way, it is possible to render the heading optimal with respect to position and accuracy of the profile. The systems are complemented by displacement transducers, tilt sensors and coverable target marks, adapted in each case to the tunnel driving conditions and machine types.

This flexible guidance system is particularly suited for retrofitting and converting existing machines as well. The control of the sensors is effected via the interfaces used in our DAMOS data acquisition system. It is also possible to transfer the data directly to the KRONOS tunnel information system.
